Faluban élő vizsgázó mintafelelete

I live a bit far from my school, there is a distance of about 20 km between my home and my high school. So as I live in a little village I’m a commuter.

The village is quite small that’s why I think everyone knows everyone. My neighbourhood consists mainly of elderly people. They are really kind, sometimes I talk to them.

My favoutire one is an old woman who likes making cakes but she lives on her own so she often invites me for a cup of tea with a delicious piece of cake.

A ház és a szobák

Since I live in a relatively big family, our house is quite big. There are 7 rooms in our house: a hall, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and, of course, a bathroom.

It is an old building, but it was renovated about 10 years ago. I haven’t got my own room, my room is shared with my sister.

I like very much this room. I think it is a normal bedroom with two beds, some bookshelves, two wardrobes, two desks and a big mirror.

We like decorateing the walls with our old drawings and one of the things that I really like about our room is that our parents allow us to paint on the walls so we have some colourful painting on the walls.

So we can say that it is totally our decision how we decorate the room. It is smaller than this classroom.

It faces east because we can see the rising sun every morning. When we look out of the window we can see our garden.

I don’t think that I want to change anything in my room because I like it as it is now.

Jövőbeli tervek

I have never tought about where I want to live in 10 years, but I think I want to live in the country side, because in my opinion it is better for the family life.

A home jelentése

House is a building, but home is more than a building - more than just four walls with a roof.

It is the cooking, eating, talking, playing and the 'living' that happens inside. It is a place where people feel safe.

People tend to say 'Home is where the heart is' which means your home will always be the place for which you feel the deepest affection, no matter where you are.

Költözés és lakhatási formák

People sometimes change their abode, so they move. The main reasons are new or better job opportunities, they seek adventure, or they regard their actual dwelling boring.

People who want to spend just few years in a certain place do not buy houses, rather they rent flats. They are mainly preferred by youngsters who often study and work at different places.

Types of houses

  • semi-detached house ; built in pairs, usually have a small back and front garden
  • terraced house ; built in long rows, especially in the UK
  • country cottage ; they are made of wood with thatch, their owners usually use them as places to stay during vacation
  • tower block ; having more storeys, each storey contains a lot of flats
  • flat ; rented or owned part of a block of flats, which consist of small rooms

Terraced houses are typically built in the UK

Living conditions Magyarországon, Nagy-Britanniában és az Amerikai Egyesült Államokban

Living conditions in Hungary

In Hungary people usually live in a house or in a block of flats. People usually own houses in villages and most block of flats are situated in towns and cities.

Houses are relatively big and they have a garden. Most of the young people in here live with their parents because it is too expensive for them to buy your own house or flat.

If they can afford, they leave home and buy a house or flat when they get married. Sometimes more generations live in the same house - parents, children and grandchildren.

Living conditions in Great Britain

In Great Britain people usually live in terraced houses - they are joined together with other houses, semidetached houses - two houses are joined together with one wall or detached houses - they are not joined with another house.

Houses in Britain have a small garden or a paved yard. In London you can often see old Victorian houses, however block of flats are not very common there.

Young people in Britain leave home much sooner than in Hungary.

Living conditions in the USA

The living conditions in the USA much more depend on how much money you have.

Rich people have big houses with many rooms, tennis courts and swimming pools but many poor people are homeless.

California has the highest percentage of homelessness (around 20%). Despite this, the standard of living is generally very high in the USA.

In cities, people live in flats situated in large apartment buildings, but other people prefer living in houses which have a big garden.

Most of American people don’t stay in one house or apartment for their entire life, but they move very often.

They sell their house and buy a new one in a different city or state because of work, possibilities, studies or for other reasons.

Ökoházak

An environmentally friendly house means that the house itself consumes less energy than a normal house.

On the roofs are usually solar cells or solar collectors. The first provides energy, the second provides warm water.

These houses are usually built from materials which provide better insulation and does not pollute the environment.

Hajléktalanság

Homeless people are people who have nowhere to live. They live in the streets for several reasons:

  • some of them lost the job and therefore they have no money to pay for a flat
  • some of them lived with their family but they had to leave their house or flat because they had problems in their relationship - for example they got divorced and after they had nowhere to go
  • sometimes children who are orphans end up living in the street because when they are 18 years old and have to leave the children’s home

People and organisations are trying to solve their problems.

The government usually provide them heated buildings - so-called shelters - during the winter.

Non-profit organisations provide them food and other necessary things, such as cosmetics and clothing.

Individuals can help their work by donating money to these organisations or directly by donating goods.

Egy családi ház részletes bemutatása

My family lives in a large family house with a big garden. The house itself has two floors, a cellar, an attic and a garage.

In the cellar there is a furnace room for heating the house and rooms for storing stewed fruit and vegetables for winter.

In the attic there is a big mess. In the garden we grow flowers and fresh vegetables and there are many fruit trees.

Right behind the house there is a kennel.

A földszint

On the ground floor there is a hall and a large kitchen, stairs to the first floor and a living room.

In the kitchen, which is on the left, you can see some blue cupboards, a cooker, a sink , a large round brown table with blue chairs and a yellow lamp above it.

Opposite the kitchen there is a large living room with a sofa, two armchairs, a little table on left hand side.

Next to them opposite the windows there is a large bookcase with hundreds of books.

Under the window there is a piano and next to it there is a shelf with a TV set, a stereo and our cassette and record collections.

The room is decorated with four pictures, curtains on the windows, one large chandelier and many little lamps, vases with flowers and flowerpots with various plants, a few pottery pieces and a brown carpet on the floor.

Az emelet

Upstairs on the right there is a parents' bedroom with one large bed and many wardrobes, two little tables with lamps, an armchair and a small bookcase.

Opposite there are two children bedrooms.

Next to the stairs there is a toilet and a bathroom with a large bathtub and a washbasin.

On the walls there you can see lovely light-blue tiles with little flowers.

I have my own room. I used to share it with my brother, but he left home, so I have it for myself.

Egyszerű mintaleírás egy házról

I live in a two-storey detached house. There are some trees in front of our house. There is a small garden with a wooden fence behind the house.

We have got a loft, a garage and a cellar too. It’s a renovated house, but we always have some work with it!

On the roof we have got a skylight. In the garden we grow vegetables and we have some fruit-trees.

In the house we have got central heating.

A szobák és a felszerelés

On the first storey there are two bedrooms, a sitting room, a bathroom, a toilet and a big kitchen with a larder.

In my room I have got a single bed, a desk, a wall unit and a bookcase. My mother’s room is similar.

We have got a parquet everywhere except the kitchen and the bathroom.

In the kitchen there is a cooker, a fridge, a sink, a cupboard and a microwave oven.

The washing machine is in the bathroom, where we have a washbasin, a bath and a bathtub.

The second storey is the same. The attic is not habitable, but we are planning to buld it up.

Egy vizsgán használható részletes felelet

I would like to speak about the house where I live.

This a detached house and it is situated / located in the suburbs of Debrecen.

My neighbourhood is mainly built up by detached and semi-detached houses, and you can find parks, bushes and a lot of trees in the area.

You can see young married couples and lots of children in the streets.

A ház külseje

Let me tell you about my house in general.

As I said, I live in a detached house, which is actually a two-storey one.

It is pretty large, and the walls are painted light green on the outside.

You can see a balcony on the top floor and a beautiful fence next to the pavement.

We moved into this house 10 years ago and it was built some 25 years ago, but it looks really modern.

A kert

Now I would like to say a few things about our garden.

I think I am lucky, as we have a great garden, which gives us the chance for a lot of things.

There is a spacious lawn where I can lie on a blanket when the weather is good.

We grow vegetables in the garden, and also we have a small orchard so there is always fresh fruit on the table.

There is a separate barbecue place in the back of the garden, so me and my parents often have people over for little parties.

Oh and I almost forgot: we have two dogs and two cats, who really enjoy running around and destroying the vegetable plantations, haha!

A ház belseje

Now I am going to move on to describing the inside of our house.

If you enter my house, you will see a little hall, where you can leave your coats and shoes.

The next room is the living room, where people hang out, watch TV and talk for long hours.

My parents' bedroom, the kitchen and one of the two bathrooms open from the living room, and also there is a little staircase which leads up to the top floor.

This is where you can find my room, my sister's / brother's room and another bathroom.

A saját szoba

I would also like to tell you some details about my bedroom.

This a relatively large, square-shaped room.

When you enter it, the first thing you notice is that the walls are painted purple, as that is my favourite colour.

There is a huge window as I need a lot of light to stay happy and positive.

You can find a desk under the window, and by the way, the window overlooks the whole neighbourhood.

I have a double bed, which is in the corner in front of the window.

There is a large wardrobe for all my clothes, and there are loads of posters and pictures on the wall.

The best thing about my room is that I has a spacious balcony, where I like to sit and read, or talk to my friends.

I have a laptop on my desk and a TV right in front of my bed, but I don't watch it too much as I am not satisfied with the quality of the programs.

A felelet lezárása

Finally, I like this house and I especially like my room.

It is a great place no matter how much time you have to spend there.

Maybe the only problem is its size: we have to do a lot of housework as it takes a long time to clean and maintain such a huge house, and when we finish one thing, we can just start another one.

All in all, I would never give up this place!

A város bemutatása

I live in a small town near Budapest. It is quiet. I like it!

There are hills and mountains around the city. The houses in our street are small and old.

There aren’t any sky-scrapers of course!

On our town there are four schools. There is also a sports centre with a swimming pool.

Our school is just opposite the sports centre. It’s cool!

The supermarket is between a clothes shop and a newsagent’s. These are not expensive shops.

Opposite the supermarket there is a café, a hairdresser and a small hotel.

The church is in the town center.

Opposite the church there is a small italian restaurant and a bank.

Next to the restaurant there is an interesting shop with creative gift ideas.

It is not cheap but exciting!

This is my favourite shop in the town. I also like the pet shop!
