How much does it cost to take the Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) exam? The CAE exam fee is €215. The list of Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) exam dates and application deadlines is available in the table below. Please note that the fourth paper, Speaking, may be scheduled to take place on a different day, most probably two or three days before the written papers, especially for exams whose written parts are on Saturdays.

A vizsga szerkezete és pontozása
The exam has four papers. You take the following 3 papers one after the other on the same day: Reading & Use of English - 8 parts, 56 questions in 90 minutes; Writing - 2 tasks in 90 minutes; Listening - 4 parts, 30 questions in 40 minutes. The fourth paper, Speaking (4 parts, 15 minutes), you will be scheduled to take on a different day, most probably two or three days before the written papers. You’ll do the Speaking test with two examiners and, normally, one other candidate.

The Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) certificate is valid for life. Certificates are sent to the Exam Centre 6 weeks after the exam date. We will contact you to confirm that you can collect your certificate, or to ask if you would like us to post them by registered post. There is an additional 10 Euro fee to cover these costs.
Officially, Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE) results are released within a 4-week window, usually appearing on the first day of that window. Practise your reading skills by reading a wide range of materials, such as books, including graded readers, newspapers and magazines. Build a vocabulary notebook. Practise your writing skills by completing timed essays. Listen to podcasts and Youtube videos with and without the transcripts. And do practice tests, first untimed to practise the strategies that work for you, and then timed so that you can also learn to manage your time. Candidates can choose to take C1 Advanced (CAE) as either a paper-based or a digital exam. Similar to the paper-based version, the digital exams are offered at certified test centers across Greece. Although the format of the exams is different, digital exams test the same knowledge and skills as our paper-based exams. In C1 Advanced (CAE) Digital, candidates use digital tools that allow them to manage the digital environment and perform to the best of their abilities.
