Érdemes a nyaralás alapinformációit megadni. Last year me and my class travelled to Italy and we stayed there for a week. Just for your information, this is a tradition at my school that 12th graders take a trip to Italy. We travelled by bus, we decided to set off at midnight and it took more than 12 hours to get there, and the journey was terrible. We stopped very rarely at gas stations and each stop lasted for at least an hour. However, we had a very good time on the bus, we were watching films, listening to music and sometimes we even sang a few songs just to kill time.

We crossed Slovenia on the way there, which was breathtaking because we got to see huge mountains and we could eat traditional Slovenian foods at a petrol station. Finally we arrived at around noon at a place called Cavallino, which is a seaside place and it is also very famous for its marketplace. We occupied the accommodation which was in caravans. Four of us stayed in one caravan and we had lots of fun there. On the first day we went down to the beach, and although the weather was cold, we still had a good swim in the sea, and one of my friends took a lot of photos. Next morning we went to a marketplace and I bought a very good quality t-shirt, and in the afternoon we spent our time by the sea again. On day three we went to Venice, which is a fascinating town full of history and beautiful buildings. We argued a lot but finally we decided to take a gondola-ride with my friends and it was amazing. On the remaining days we headed for Padova which is also a great city. We also visited Verona and Sirmione, and took a stunning boat-ride on Lake Garda. The food and the people are just awesome in Italy.
Végezetül összegezzük, milyen érzésekkel is töltött el minket az ott töltött idő. We were very sad when the last day came but we were also happy because we knew that this would be a memory for a lifetime. We packed our luggage and set off for home. The journey was even more tiring than the way there, and everybody was really exhausted.

They travel to work, to school, or on business. Many people travel for pleasure and travelling has recently become one of the most popular hobbies. Travelling is also an interesting way of spending holidays.
In every season of the year the airports, railway stations, seaports, and bus stops are full of people travelling for long or short distances. When people travel a long distance they usually travel by air. Travelling by air is exciting, fast comfortable, relatively safe but rather expensive. In the 20th century it became one of the most important means of transport.
There are several American Airlines, all of them are private. When people choose to travel by plane they usually go or phone to the airlines or travel agency to get information about flights. At the airport the passengers travelling with international or intercontinental airlines have to show their flight tickets and passports. An official weight of their luggage can take only 20 kg. Passengers must also go through the customs. Then they can go to the departure lounge. In the plane the stewardess shows them their seats. Before the aircraft moves, the notices flash up „Fasten Your Safety Belts” and „No Smoking”. During the flight the stewardess offers the passengers some meals, drinks, cigarettes and sweets.

Travelling by train is the most common form of travelling. In our country trains are used daily by many people to and from work or school. They are cheap, less polluting, safe but not very clean and comfortable. Fast trains are more comfortable for longer distances. They do not stop at every station. Coaches are buses for long distance travelling. They are fast, comfortable and the prices of tickets are quite reasonable. Many people say that car is the most comfortable means of travelling and seeing places. Others think it is just a necessity because it is quicker than public transport. But for many people motoring is a pleasure. They enjoy driving a car at a high speed and do not think of the dangers of fast driving. The cars are comfortable and quick, but they are not safe and are rather expensive. In spite of that the number of cars on our roads and highways grows higher and higher every year. Many young people of all countries of the world like travelling by bike. Some go to school by bike; others prefer cycling as a sport or a hobby. In recent years many young people go for holiday trips by bike which is healthy and exciting.

For birthdays friends and family members give usually flowers or little presents just like CD-s or books. People give parties to celebrate their birthday. For little kids mothers prepare delicious home-made cakes and put candles on it. My favourite family festival is Christmas, when the hole family gets together. On Christmas Eve people decorate a Christmas tree. We put presents under the tree and have fun. We play a lot with our new board games. We also celebrate Mother’s Day. Children buy flowers or prepare little gifts, drawings or paintings for their mothers. The 14th of February is Valentine’s Day. This is the lovers’ day when people send cards to their beloved someone. On the 8th of March we celebrate women. My favourite festival is Christmas, it symbolizes peace and love. I like the flavour of gingerbread. Christmas is important for me as I can spend more time with my parents who are divorced. There is no work, no school, so I can spend more time also with my friends!
Travelling abroad has become much easier in the past 20 years, because it is more simple to plan your trip based on the information you can find on the internet. In the past only wealthy people could afford holidays but these days many people go abroad. Young people often travel to find out more about the world. Backpackers are interested in exotic places and different cultures. These days it is possible to travel on a budget and families often go on package holidays to Greece, Italy or Croatia. Travelling on business is different; trips are often short, hectic and tiring. We can see more and more pensioners going on holiday tours, visiting famous cities and beauty spots. After retiring, it is easier to go abroad because they don’t have a job to worry about and they can avoid the summer crowds. In the European Union, personal documents are necessary to identify yourself: you need an ID card or a passport. Before going abroad to other parts of the world, always check if you need a visa. Besides organizing travel and accommodation, it is a good idea to take out travel insurance.
