A Cambridge C1 Advanced - korábbi nevén CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) - a Cambridge English egyik legismertebb nemzetközi nyelvvizsgája. Valójában nincs különbség. A CAE a vizsga korábbi elnevezése volt, amelyet ma hivatalosan Cambridge C1 Advanced néven ismerünk. A Cambridge C1 Advanced nyelvvizsgát világszerte több ezer egyetem, munkáltató és intézmény fogadja el. A Cambridge C1 Advanced bizonyítvány nem jár le, vagyis élethosszig érvényes. Tanfolyamunk azoknak szól, akik már stabil B2 szinten állnak, és szeretnének eljutni a sikeres C1 nyelvvizsgáig.
A vizsga felépítése és célja
A vizsga négy fő készséget mér: Reading & Use of English, Writing, Listening és Speaking. Az IELTS és a Cambridge C1 Advanced egyaránt nemzetközileg elismert angol nyelvvizsga, de eltérő célokra készültek. Ez elsősorban a jelenlegi nyelvtudásodtól függ. A Cambridge C1 Advanced felkészítő tanfolyamaink élő online órák formájában zajlanak. Minél korábban, annál jobb. Így elegendő időd lesz megismerni a vizsga felépítését, begyakorolni a feladattípusokat és magabiztosan felkészülni a vizsgára.
A listening rész részletei
The C1 Advanced has 4 parts : Reading and Use of English, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Let’s take a closer look at the listening section of the C1 Advanced exam. The focus of this exam section is test your ability to follow and understanding different types of audio. There are four parts to this exam paper and you have a total of 30 questions to answer. The time allocated for this paper is around 40 minutes. This part of the exam tests your ability to listen for feeling, attitude, opinion, purpose, function, agreement, gist, detail etc.
You will listen to three short interactions between different speakers. The question type used here is multiple-choice, so you just need to choose the correct answer - A, B, C, or D.
Here you have to listen to a monologue, so just one person is talking. It lasts for about 3 minutes and you have to complete the sentences with the information you hear. This tests your ability to listen for specific information and stated opinions. There are 8 questions in the part and each is worth one mark.
This is a conversation that lasts for 4 minutes. You will hear two or more people speaking. This skill here is listening for attitude, opinion, agreement, gist, speaker purpose, feeling, and function and detail. The question type in this part is multiple choice, so you have four possible answers to choose from - A, B, C, and D.
You will hear five topic-based monologues that last for 30 seconds each. Totally 2.5 minutes for this part of the test. There are two tasks for you to complete. The question type here is multiple-matching. This means you will have to match the speaker to one of the, in this case eight, possible answers. So there are more answers than speakers.

You listen to conversations with different people, set in different contexts. The Listening paper contains 'distractors', which are words deliberately chosen to confuse listeners and make you choose incorrect answers.
Written summaries of opinions and attitudes. Write an essay for your teacher in 220-260 words. You should discuss two of the ways of testing English learners’ listening skills from your notes. You should explain which brings about the most benefit and give reasons to support your answer.
Dictation Marks: How many mistakes did you make in the dictation exercise above? It's good to track how many mistakes you're making, so: 1: Download this spreadsheet to your computer. 2. Content: CAE Listening Paper contains four parts. Text Types: Monologues: lectures, talks, speeches, anecdotes, radio broadcasts, etc. Part 1 includes three unrelated short texts. They are approximately 1 minute in length and feature two or more speakers. The content is taken from a variety of real-life contexts and, therefore, expect a range of topics, voice and style of delivery. Listen to the entire text once before selecting your response and never assume you have heard the right answer. Avoid selecting a response simply because it features words and phrases heard on the recording. Most of the questions will require you to draw inferences from what you hear. As a result, mark one answer to each question at the end of the first listening, even if you’re uncertain if it is correct.
Part 3 includes interviews and discussions involving two or more speakers. The text is approximately 3-4 minutes long and typically takes the form of a broadcast discussion or interview for a general audience. A set of six four-option multiple choice questions examine the attitude and viewpoints of the speakers. As this is the longest part of the Listening exam, give yourself plenty of time to comprehend the more expansive interviews and discussions. This section of the test employs language that paraphrases and expresses ideas from the text. As these often focus on the viewpoints and outlooks of the speakers, you need to have a strong command of the meaning and use of the type of language used to communicate these ideas concisely. Part 4 consists of a series of five short monologues on a subject matter. The passage is 3-4 minutes in length with each monologue lasting approximately 30 seconds. The monologues represent spontaneous speech, delivered in an informal spoken style by speakers with a variety of backgrounds and voices. There are two parallel multiple-matching tasks, each with a different focus. In each case, the correct answer must be selected from the eight options. Remember the five speakers will be linked thematically. Be certain to listen for gist meaning rather than detail in these passages. Answer both tasks and note that you will only hear the series of monologues twice. The instructions for each task are provided on the question paper and are also heard on the audio recording, including details about the speakers, the topic and the context of the passage.

Before you listen to each passage, you will have time to scan through and reflect on the questions. The length of the preparation time is provided on the tape. Embark upon daily learning practices where you listen to English language audio on the Internet or television, for example. In longer texts, remember that the questions are asked in the same order as the information in the recording reflecting the structure of the text.
