Az easy listening mint tanulási eszköz lehetővé teszi, hogy a hallott szöveg és a megértés közti hidat könnyedebb módon építsd fel. Olyan tartalmak jelennek meg, amelyek a hétköznapi helyzetekben használatos szókincset és kifejezéseket közvetítik, miközben a nyelvtan kifejezései fokozatosan kerülnek előtérbe.

Ezek a példák a mindennapi beszéd jellegzetes elemei, amelyek segítenek felismerni, hogyan hangzanak el a fontos kifejezések gyors, folyékony beszéd közben. A tartalmak között gyakran előfordul, hogy a szókincset az adott kontextusba helyezve mutatják be, így a hallgatók könnyebben megjegyzik a kifejezéseket.

Az alapvető megértéshez érdemes kis, ismétlődő egységekben gyakorolni: hallgass rövid dialógusokat, majd ismételd vissza a hallottakat. A hosszabb tartalmak esetén bontsd fel a szöveget logikai egységekre: bemutatkozás, vásárlás, utazás, étkezés, közlekedés. Így a hallás utáni információfeldolgozás folyamatosan fejlődik.

When you are learning Hungarian on your own and it is going fairly well, but somehow you always have difficulties understanding the spoken language (listening comprehension). You try watching YouTube videos and listening to Hungarian radio but apart from understanding a couple of words or short sentences, somehow you always end up being frustrated and you feel that no matter how much you study and practise, somehow it doesn’t bring you closer to your goal: UNDERSTANDING native Hungarians!!!
When you are learning with a teacher and it is going well, but you feel that you need some extra exercises because you can understand your teacher fairly well but you know that she/he is speaking at a slow pace and in simple, understandable sentences using words that she/he knows you will understand. Plus you have already got used to his/her speaking style.
