Personal and social life – angol nyelvvizsga tétel

A témakör fő részei

  • személyes bemutatkozás;
  • család és családi kapcsolatok;
  • barátság és osztálytársak;
  • kollégák és párkapcsolatok;
  • lakóhely és otthon;
  • iskola, tanulmányok és munka;
  • szabadidő és hobbik;
  • jövőbeli tervek;
  • közösségi média és kapcsolattartás;
  • a társadalmi kapcsolatok előnyei és nehézségei.

Personal identification - személyes bemutatkozás

My name is Zsuzsanna Judit Kalóz. I was born on the sixteenth of April 1985. I’m short; I have brown hair, and brown eyes. I’m nice and happy, but sometimes I can be very sad say my friends.

I live in a flat in Budapest in the eight district. The flat is really big, and light. Budapest is the capital city. It has 23 districts.

Hasznos szempontok a bemutatkozáshoz

  • név;
  • születési idő és hely;
  • életkor;
  • külső megjelenés;
  • személyiség;
  • lakóhely;
  • családi állapot;
  • tanulmányok;
  • hobbik;
  • jövőbeli tervek.

A bemutatkozás során érdemes nemcsak adatokat felsorolni, hanem röviden jellemezni is önmagadat. Elmondhatod, milyen a külsőd, hogyan viselkedsz másokkal, mit szeretsz csinálni, és milyen céljaid vannak.

Family - család

I have a brother, he is 21 years old. He learns in Gábor Dénes College, and he works too. My mother is a policewoman. She likes her profession. My parents are divorced.

I live with my grandma, my mother, my brother and my cat. My cat’s name is Pörkölt. Her hair is light brown, dark brown and white. She is very playful and nice.

Family is very important in my life because my family members support me in difficult situations. We spend time together and talk about our problems. I think a close family can give people security and emotional support.

Family dynamics are essential in shaping an individual’s values and attitudes.

Az eltérő vélemények ellenére a családtagok közötti türelem, figyelem és őszinte kommunikáció segíthet a konfliktusok megoldásában. A közös programok és a rendszeres beszélgetések erősíthetik a családi kapcsolatokat.

Friendship - barátság

Friendship is very important in my life because my friends are my second family. I have lots of friends: one of them was my classmate at primary school, some of them were my classmates at secondary school, one of them was my colleague at my first workplace and the majority is known by my husband for 6 years.

I think these friendships are the strongest because adults take their friends more seriously especially they have children. We meet at weekends to play the children together and sometimes - especially on birthdays and namedays - we go to pubs to talk each other and to celebrate.

Partner relationships are important too. I keep in touch with my ex-lovers nowadays we’re friends. We meet rarely but we often call each other and we talk about our present-days. Although we couldn’t agree together, nowadays we can talk about everything. It’s very interesting!

Some people prefer to live alone, while others would like to have a long-term relationship and a family. In my opinion, the most important thing is that both partners feel respected and happy in the relationship.

School and studies - iskola és tanulmányok

My school is Jelky András Secondary Technical School. We learn to sewing. My favourite subject is maths, but I don’t like the physics, because, I don’t understand it.

I don’t want to be a dressmaker. I want to learn in a college, but I don’t know which one to choose. I’m interested in a lot of things.

My school plays a significant role in my personal development.

Tanulási tervek

Do you plan to go to university or college? If I want to become a doctor I’ll have to go to university.

Education opens doors to endless opportunities and is the cornerstone of personal growth.

Occupation and future plans - foglalkozás és jövőbeli tervek

When I finish the college, I want a well-payed job and a family, and a villa.

What are your personal plans for next year, or for the next five to ten years? How far ahead do you usually plan? I don’t like to plan too far ahead, but I would definitely like to have a family, live in the countryside, or have several children in the next 10 years.

I sometimes think about my plans to go to university or life when I am forty or fifty.

What do you think your next year will look like? Do you plan to go to university or college? If I want to become a doctor I’ll have to go to university.

What about five years when you finish university or college? Where would you like to work? I’ll have to find a workplace where I can start working or an apprenticeship where I can learn the different aspects of a job.

I could even try to find work abroad or at an international company. It could be any kind of job as long as it pays a reasonable salary, offers a nice environment, or gives me job satisfaction.

A munkaválasztásnál nemcsak a fizetés lehet fontos. Számíthat a kellemes munkahelyi környezet, a fejlődési lehetőség, a rugalmas munkaidő, a munkatársakkal való jó kapcsolat és az is, hogy a munka érdekesnek tűnik-e.

Work experience is essential for building a successful career.

Lakóhely és életkörülmények

Where would you like to live? It would be cool to live in the capital or abroad. I will stay at home with my family for a while. I might even apply for a scholarship abroad or ask for a bank loan and buy a flat.

Hobbies and free time - hobbik és szabadidő

I have a lot of hobbies. My favourite is skating. We go with my friends to Városligeti Műjégpálya in winter. I can do this all the time.

I want to play hockey, but the equipment is very expensive. The full equipment will cost about 500 thousand.

My other hobby is chat. I really like that. There is a lot of people. They are very different, and I like that, I have to know some of them.

I like going to cinema, and walking. I like dancing, I learn hip-hop. I like reading, if it isn’t binding. I like Robin Cook’s books. My favourite is the Invasion.

A szabadidős tevékenységek segíthetnek a pihenésben, a stressz csökkentésében és az emberi kapcsolatok ápolásában. A sport javíthatja a közérzetet, a kulturális programok új élményeket adhatnak, a kreatív hobbik pedig lehetőséget teremthetnek az önkifejezésre.

I spend my free time engaging in various cultural activities, which enrich my life.

Social interactions play a vital role in shaping our personality.

Social challenges and cultural diversity significantly impact our daily lives.

Social media and communication - közösségi média és kommunikáció

Social networks are websites and apps that allow users and organizations to connect, communicate, share information and form relationships. Social media has transformed the way we communicate, learn, and interact with the world, providing numerous benefits that enhance personal and professional lives.

It has its positive sides, but as everything, it has its negative sides as well. To put it in a different way there are two sides to the coin.

A közösségi média előnyei

One of the greatest benefits of social media sites is that it enables people to stay connected with friends, family, and colleagues regardless of geographical barriers and distances.

It helps real-time communication, making it easier to share updates, photos, and life events, providing platforms for sharing news and information quickly and efficiently.

It is also an endless source of information. Users can stay informed about global events, local news, and their topics of interest.

Social media site algorithms are excellent at giving you just the right kind of information based on your Internet using habits and interactions. They monitor you closely and recommend you the appropriate events, videos or books.

Social media sites provide a source of enjoyment and relaxation for their users.

A közösségi média oktatási célokra is használható.

Social media sites have a huge educational impact. YouTube is an endless source of information and tutorials on practically everything that exists and even TikTok showcases a wide range of educational videos.

A közösségi média hátrányai

However, the other side of the coin is that using social media sites is a very addictive activity. There is always something to see, read or click on and most people feel anxious if they don’t check or scroll their social media every couple of minutes.

FOMO, or ‘fear of missing out’ is the expression for that feeling. People are usually not even aware of the screen time they spend on social media a day.

Excessive screen time and neglect of real-life relationships and responsibilities are very harmful. The constant need for likes, comments, and shares can become a real dependence on social media.

Social media can be a major distraction, leading to procrastination and decreased productivity at work or school. Screen time before bed can lead to poor sleep quality.

A közösségi média változása

Social media sites have changed over time. The primary social media platform used to be Facebook for most people.

Nowadays Facebook is considered to be outdated and old-fashioned for the younger generation. They tend to use Instagram instead and Generation Z or GenZ uses mostly TikTok.

TikTok is known for its short-form videos ranging from 15 seconds to 3 minutes in length. It has gained immense popularity worldwide, particularly among younger audiences.

Why it is so attractive for youngsters is a puzzle for the older generations though.

Vita a közösségi média használatáról

Hey Tim, I’ve been thinking a lot about my social media habits lately. Do you think it’s worth the time we spend using it?

That’s a good question, Susan. It really depends on how you use it. What are your concerns?

Well, on the one hand, I love staying connected with friends and keeping up with the news. But on the other hand, I sometimes feel overwhelmed and distracted by it. And the amount of time I spend scrolling also concerns me.

I get that. Social media can be great for staying informed and connected if you use it wisely and don’t waste your time on useless things. I use it to keep in touch with family and friends who live far away, and I’ve joined some awesome communities that share my interests.

That sounds nice. I enjoy seeing what everyone is up to and finding new content. But I also worry about privacy and the impact on my mental health. Sometimes, I can’t help but compare myself to others.

That’s a common issue. It’s easy to fall into the comparison trap because people usually post only the highlights of their lives. It can be misleading and make us feel inadequate.

Exactly. And there’s so much negativity and misinformation out there. It can be hard to know what to trust and what is fake news.

True. I think it’s important to follow reliable sources and fact-check information. As for the negativity, I’ve found it helpful to check my feed and unfollow accounts and people that don’t add value or positivity to my life.

That makes sense. But what about the time it takes up? I sometimes feel like I’m wasting hours just scrolling through my Instagram and Facebook feeds.

Setting boundaries can help with that. I limit my social media use to certain times of the day and try to be mindful of how much time I spend online. There are even apps that can help track and manage your social media usage.

Those are good tips. I guess it’s about finding a balance in how we use it then.

Exactly. Social media isn’t inherently good or bad. It’s a tool, and it’s up to us to use it in a way that benefits us.

If you find that it overwhelms you, taking a break or limiting your use can be really helpful.

I like that perspective. Maybe I’ll try setting some limits and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice, Tim.

Anytime, Susan. Remember, it’s all about what works best for you. If you ever need to talk about it more, I’m here.

Thanks, Tim. I appreciate it.

Rövid, összefüggő mintaválasz

My name is Zsuzsanna Judit Kalóz and I live in Budapest. I live with my grandmother, my mother, my brother and my cat. My parents are divorced, but my family is very important to me. I have a lot of friends from primary school, secondary school and my first workplace.

Friendship is very important in my life because my friends are my second family. We usually meet at weekends, talk to each other and celebrate birthdays and namedays together. I also like going to the cinema, walking, dancing and skating. In winter I often go skating with my friends.

I am interested in many things, so I would like to continue my studies at college. In the future I want to have a well-paying job, a family and a villa. I do not like to plan too far ahead, but I would like to have a steady job and a good salary before I have a family.

Social media is also an important part of modern social life. It helps us keep in touch with friends and relatives who live far away, and it provides information and entertainment. However, excessive use can be addictive, distracting and harmful to real-life relationships. I think social media is a useful tool if we use it wisely and maintain a healthy balance.
